Jack Carriglio and Jim Argionis Win Shareholder Derivative Case.
Mahru, et al. v. Apex Investment Association, Inc., et al., 10 CH 45219, Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division. On April 25, 2012, Judge Neal Cohen granted summary judgment to all defendants is a shareholder derivative action. The defendants, an investment company and its board of directors, were represented by Jack Carriglio and Jim Argionis. The case had been brought by minority shareholders of the company who challenged stock options which the board of directors had approved and involved allegations as to whether shareholders had been properly notified and had approved the stock options.
