LEADING LAWYERS NETWORK RECOGNIZES 24 MBT LAWYERS AS TOP ILLINOIS PRACTITIONERS

Leading Lawyers logoCHICAGO (May 2012) — The Leading Lawyers Network has named 25 Meckler Bulger Tilson Marick & Pearson LLP (“MBT”) lawyers to its annual list of Illinois’ top practitioners. Three of those named join the list for the first time.

Leading Lawyers represents the top five percent of lawyers in Illinois - as recommended by their peers. “This is a very strong list of the state’s top lawyers,” said Scott Anderson, director of Leading Lawyers Network and publisher of Leading Lawyers Network Magazine.

MBT added 3 new attorneys to the 22 previously selected as Leading Lawyers. The new additions are Carlos Del Carpio, Brett Heinrich, and Peter Petrakis . The 22 MBT lawyers who have been once again recommended by their peers as Leading Lawyers include: Anne Blume, Brian Bulger, Jack Carriglio, Janet Davis, Richard Devine, J. Stuart Garbutt, Paul Garry, Rebecca Haller, James Henry, James Kallianis, Jr., J. Philip King, James Knibbs, Mari Henry Leigh, Michael Leonard, Michael Marick, Bruce Meckler, Steven Pearson, Scott Seaman, Joseph Tilson, Peter Valeta, Anneliese Wermuth and Timothy Wolfe.

Law Bulletin Publishing Company, through its Leading Lawyers Network division, conducted an extensive statewide survey of Illinois lawyers, asking them “If you couldn’t take a case in your area of law, to who would you refer a family member or friend?” Only those lawyers who were most often recommended by their peers in one of 94 areas of law achieved the distinction of becoming a Leading Lawyer. Lawyers could not nominate themselves or lawyers at their own firm.
