LEADING LAWYERS NETWORK RECOGNIZES 22 MBT LAWYERS AS TOP ILLINOIS PRACTITIONERS
CHICAGO (August 2009) — The Leading Lawyers Network has named 22 Meckler Bulger Tilson Marick &
Pearson LLP (“MBT”) lawyers to its annual list of Illinois’ top practitioners. Ten of those named join the list for
the first time. Leading Lawyers represents the top five percent of lawyers in Illinois - as recommended by their
peers.
“This is a very strong list of the state’s top lawyers,” said Scott Anderson, director of Leading Lawyers Network and publisher of Leading Lawyers Network Magazine.
The 10 newest MBT Leading Lawyers include: Erika Dillon, Brent Graber, James Henry, James Kallianis, Jr., Philip King, James Knibbs, Michael Leonard, Scott Seaman, Anneliese Wermuth, and Timothy Wolfe.
The 12 MBT lawyers who are once again recommended by their peers as Leading Lawyers include: Brian Bulger, Jack Carriglio, Janet Davis, Richard Devine, J. Stuart Garbutt, Paul Garry, Mari Henry Leigh, Michael Marick, Bruce Meckler, Steven Pearson, Joseph Tilson, and Peter Valeta.
Law Bulletin Publishing Company, through its Leading Lawyers Network division, conducted an extensive statewide survey of Illinois lawyers, asking them “If you couldn’t take a case in your area of law, to whom would you refer a family member or friend?” Only those lawyers who were most often recommended by their peers in one of 94 areas of law have achieved the distinction of being a Leading Lawyer. Lawyers could not nominate themselves or lawyers at their own firm.
